I am a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and have worked in insolvency since 1985. I am licensed by the ICAEW to practice insolvency in the UK.
I set up Midlands Business Recovery in 2010 to be the best, most respected firm of insolvency practitioners serving the Midlands SME market. However, I often now operate outside of the local area.
I am a Black Country lad, born and bred. I’m married with 2 children and live in Coseley, near Dudley, having been born and schooled in Stourbridge. I’m a very proud grandfather. I’m a long-standing, suffering Baggies fan. I am a member of West Bromwich Mountaineering Club and regularly climb in the UK and abroad. I am a director and owner of Asset Disposal Services Limited, which sells used industrial machinery – this puts me in contact with a good many businesses in the engineering sector – having a significant business interest outside of insolvency means I think very differently from others within the insolvency profession.
I love technology and embrace change. This means that despite being a small firm, I am often at the forefront of technological changes for the better for the insolvency sector, for example, I was the first IP to set up systems so I can accept cryptocurrency for payment for my services and I created this, the UK’s first Bot in the insolvency space – while others said it couldn’t be done, I just got on and did it, in record time.

I’m privileged to work with very trustworthy directors who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances through no fault of their own, I do not attract the sort of directors who get up to no good.
