I am a Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, based in the West Midlands.  I am a partner in the Halesowen firm Withers Brindley Associates which trades under the long established name 'Mayfields Insolvency Practitioners'.

I help businesses and individuals find the best solution for them to their financial problems.

On this, my own, website you will find guidance on all the options you have for dealing with debt problems, whether you are an individual or a director of a limited company.

I have written this site for people who are truly interested in understanding the implications of all of their options so that they make informed decisions.  This makes some of the pages quite long.  The site is continually developing, visit here often for tips and pointers.
If you or your business are having severe financial problems..

...the decisions that you take now will have a huge impact on you, your family, your staff,  suppliers and customers in the short to medium term.  It is essential that you identify and fully explore all of your options so that you make proper, informed, decisions with confidence.

As a Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, I am obliged to give potential clients best advice whether or not there is a role, or a fee, for me.  There is a huge difference between how I, as a regulated and monitored professional operates and how largely unlicensed and unregulated commercial debt advisory organisations operate.

To get the best result for you, you will have to be entirely honest with me, your co-owners of the business and your family; be ready to compromise on some of your existing 'priorities'; and be willing and able to take some pretty tough decisions.  This is not a time for trusting to luck; for poor communication with me, your family or co-directors; or for prevarication.

People appreciate how I simplify complex issues, in a friendly, professional, practical, no-nonsense way.  The way this site is written will give you an insight into how I operate.

And if you do find my website of help to you, please click on the 'And finally.....' link to the left, and give something in return for all my hard work in building this site over the years, not to me but my favourite charity.
